There has been a lot of unrest happening throughout the world and eSwatini has not been exempt from the turmoil. Mass protest are in the streets and businesses are being destroyed. The people are
rising up in the streets and demanding change. They want to have representation and their voices to be heard. The king has shut down all internet access and closed borders in an attempt to silence the protesters. There is no fuel available and the food shortage is driving prices up to 5x the normal price. If that isn’t enough, South Africa is now rioting and burning entire cities. It is complete chaos! Eswatini relies heavily on South Africa for daily supplies and we are struggling to get the basic necessities to maintain the daily operations of the children’s homes, feeding sites, and churches. We are doing everything in our power to continue taking care of the daily needs. With the schools being closed and the limited supply of food, we are having more children show up to the feeding sites and to the churches looking for help.
While this is all happening, we are continuing with the tent crusades and they are going extremely well. The people are hungry for more. This is the time when the church has to step up and be the
church. We have also secured land for a new church plant and the ground is being cleared. The needs are great, spiritually and physically. We can’t thank you all enough for the prayers and support that we have received. The ministry is continuing to grow beyond what we anticipated, and we are excited to see what God has planned.
Dear friends of ours, a missionary couple in eSwatini has decided to return to the States. They will be greatly missed in eSwatini, but we plan to stay in close contact. They have presented us with an opportunity that we cannot pass up. They have offered to sell us their truck for a third of what they could get for it. They said that they wanted to bless us and see it continued to be used for ministry. We have been praying to get a truck for the past couple years to help with delivery of the food, building materials and now the transport of the tents for the tent crusades. This will be a huge help and it will also help us with reducing the delivery fees we face every month. Up until now, we have been doing a cost analysis to see if it would be beneficial to buy vs. paying delivery fees and with the price that they are giving us, there is no doubt this is the wisest financial move.
We will need to raise $5,000 for the purchase of the truck. This is a well-maintained truck that will be an incredible blessing to the ministry. If the Lord lays it upon your heart to partner with us, we are hoping to have the funds raised by the first of August. Please email us if you have any questions.
Thank you again for your continued prayers and support!
