Dear Family & Friends,
It goes without saying that this has been a roller coaster of a year for everyone, and Swaziland has not been spared. Our family has canceled multiple trips overseas, and this is the longest stretch of time that we have had to go without being on the ground. The ministry has continued to press on through the challenges, and we are seeing even greater growth in these tough times. We are jumping through all of the hoops that the government has placed on us to keep the churches and children’s homes operating. The feeding sites are still operating under stricter guidelines. During this crisis, we have seen a huge increase in the number of kids going hungry. Our feeding sites are some of the only sites that have remained open during the pandemic, and this has left us with a strain on the staff, as well as the finances to keep up with the demand. We do not want to have to turn anyone away. The ministry is also receiving requests from the local officials to start a fully operational feeding site at our new church plant. This will cost an additional $500 a month to run the feeding site which will feed between 250-300 children daily. This will not only take care of their physical need of food, but also create a safe place for the children to play and hear about the love of Jesus.
In addition, we have received several new orphans into our second children’s home in Bulandzeni, and we are now beyond capacity. We are in desperate need of building additional rooms. The quote to complete the addition is $2,500. This home provides these children a safe place full of love and godly influence. All of their physical needs, schooling and medical needs will be met. In addition to the new rooms, we will need individuals willing to sponsor each child. The monthly sponsorship is $50 a month per child living in the children’s home.
We are planning on returning to Swaziland after the 1st of the year. We are still raising the monthly support needed to continue running the ministry. Currently, we are working on securing our home and supplies in Swaziland. Please prayerfully consider supporting the ministry in whatever capacity you can, whether monthly or a one-time gift. No amount is too small. We are doing everything we can to stretch every dollar to reach and care for as many people as we possibly can. Our prayer is to be able to bring teams over in 2021. Please let us know if you or your church would be interested in a team trip or if your church would like to have us come and share the vision of all that God is doing in Africa.
Thank you for your prayers and continuous support. We want you to know that you are essential, you are prayed for, and you are loved! We are incredibly grateful that you have chosen to partner with us in giving the people of Swaziland hope and a future!
In His Service,
Chad, Wendy, Brielle & Caden
