What a year!

Wow, What a year! We can’t even begin to express how incredibly blessed we are to have received so much love and support from all of you! So often we have asked ourselves, “Why did God choose us?” I’m not sure that we have ever come up with a sufficient answer to that question. But, here we are looking back at the past 20 months since our journey began and can honestly say we are in awe of what the Lord has done in and through our family.
At the same time, God began closing the door to us working with Children’s Cup, He began showing us the need to start a ministry here. We weren’t sure what this was going to look like, but to our surprise everything quickly began falling into place. We are excited to announce that Covenant of Peace International will be a recognized, legal ministry and NGO as of this week. The ministry name is Covenant of Peace based out of the scriptures Ezekiel 34:25-29 and Isaiah 54:10 “though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord who has compassion on you. God continues to open doors into rural areas where churches are needed. At the present, we have three church plants that we need funds for. The pastors are ready and are holding Bible studies in their communities. We have been meeting with the young pastors and visiting the communities and doing all that we are able to do for the past few months, but the bottom line is that funds are needed to build the churches. After much prayer and counsel, we feel that it would better serve the ministry if we were to come home and fundraise for the fall months. Our hands are tied from moving forward until we have the finances needed. We will be returning to the states in October and will begin setting up speaking engagements to fundraise full-time. We are still in need of support to continue the ministry God has called us to. We have our return flights to Swaziland set up for February. We are praying that we will be able to begin construction at that time and hire a few staff members to oversee ministry operations here on the ground. The kids will be returning to school in the states, but are excited to return to Swaziland for the American Summer months.

We are grateful for your continued support for our family and ask that you please pray for the transition, especially for the kids. We’ve been through a lot this past year and so much of what we have gone through is difficult to even explain.  We know that we will need time to work through a lot of adjustments and we really appreciate your prayers.

Please contact us if your church would be open to us coming and sharing all that God has done and is continuing to do within the ministry and our family.

We have repeatedly said how grateful we are for your continuous support and we pray that you hear our hearts. If you could only see our tears every month as we read off your names. We know the sacrifices that are being made every month as you sow seeds into our ministry.

God has protected us and provided for us and we know that He will continue to do so as long as He wants us to do this work. Thank you for trusting us with the seeds that you are sowing!

We love you all and hope to see you soon!
