Prayers & Thanks!

church of HhelehheleWe just wanted to ask for prayer for the upcoming church launch at Hhelehhele. Preparations are underway and we are blitzing the community, working on the landscape, ordering the food and planning the exciting weekend. Pastor Mncedisi and Purity are anxiously awaiting the official launch of their church and we are excited to see all that God has in store for this amazing community. We will be holding a fun outreach full of activities and a message and meal on Saturday the 10th and the official launch Sunday morning followed by a meal for all of our guests! Thank you for praying that God moves mightily!

We also wanted to thank Antioch International Inc. and Paige Brenner for their contributions toward helping getting the bridgepaige fundraising built. Paige, 13, who is the daughter of a dear friend of Wendy’s, heard of this need and decided to bake goodies to sell. She was able to raise quite a bit of money to finish the bridge and also purchase all the seedlings for a garden to be planted behind the church. We are so grateful for friends and family who see the needs and have a desire to partner with all that is happening here!

We love you all,
Chad, Wendy, Brielle & CadenIMG_4291swazi bridge1

He who began a good work…

Friends and Family,
After enduring 6 months of hardship and spiritual attacks, we are seeing and feeling God’s hand upon us. We have reached our breakthrough. We would be foolish to believe that satan will no longer be on the attack, but as someone recently said, “satan is a bully and will only continue to bully those who are affected by him.” We have determined that we will not allow the enemy to derail us from our calling.IMG_0612
Most everyone knows that we experienced two bad car accidents in a 7 day period. We saw God’s hand of protection upon us and now we are seeing His provision to move forward. We can look back and see why the enemy felt threatened by what the Lord was about to do. We were definitely messing with his territory, but he will remain under our feet and we will be victorious. Romans 8:35/37 “Can anyone ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.”
IMG_2227It was great having Wendy’s parents here for a few weeks and then her college friend, Laura and her daughter, Paige. We really enjoyed having company, but it was definitely tough saying goodbye. Wendy was able to travel home to the states for 10 days and attend the Original Women’s Conference in Rockford, Illinois. She also had the opportunity to share about our ministry with the students at Christian Life, two life groups and aIMG_2029 Sunday school class. She is feeling refreshed & encouraged! Brielle and Caden are on a 3 week break from school so we are hoping to enjoy some family time and ministry altogether.
The church of Hhelehhele is going very well and we are seeing salvations and new visitors weekly. On Good Friday 180 people came to watch The Passion of the Christ movie. Purity is anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby Joel any day now. Be in prayer for her and Pastor Mncedisi as they nervously wait for their miracle to arrive. We are getting ready to begin a children’s program and are praying about what that will look like. Friday May 9th will be power camps for the care point children, Saturday the 10th we will have a big outreach with the global leadership academy students helping us prepare for Sunday’s service and then Sunday the 11th will be the main church launch. Please pray for this very big upcoming weekend for the church!

swazi bridge2The bridge has been completed and is being used daily. Praise the Lord for this amazing gift the church was able to present to the community! Now the children will be able to cross safely to the care point and to school. This bridge will be used often and will no longer be an issue of safety for the people in the community of Hhelehhele.
Thank you for your prayers throughout this past 7 months. Our faith has definitely grown and we know that God will continue to take care of us no matter what we have to face.    IMG_2234

Prayer needs:
• We are still in need of renters for our home in IllinoisIMG_4276
• Hhelehhele church launch
• Continued protection over our home & car as we travel

In His Hands,
Chad, Wendy, Brielle, & Caden
